On 12 May, representatives of different scientific laboratories of MSLU (PoliMod, Sign Language Laboratory, Cognitive Communication Laboratory) visited the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE).
The delegation from MSLU was headed by MSLU Vice-Rector for Science, Director of the Centre for Sociocognitive Discourse Studies, Prof. O.K. Iriskhanova. The meeting was also attended by Dr. M.I. Kiose, Chief Researcher of the SCoDis Centre, and Dr. A.V. Leontieva, Head of the Sign Language Laboratory. The speakers from the National Research University Higher School of Economics were Y. Shtyrov (Head of the research group of research on mechanisms of learning and cognition, Director of the Centre), A. V. Myachikov (Head of the research group of research on cognitive mechanisms of consciousness and communication), Abutalebi Jubin (Head of the research group of research on bilingualism and cognitive reserve), O. V. Shcherbakova (Head of the research group of research on bilingualism and cognitive reserve), and O. V. Shcherbakova (Head of the research group of studies of psychological bases of intellectual productivity), A.I. Izmalkova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Senior Researcher of the Centre for SCoDis of the Moscow State Linguistic University.
Researchers from MSLU and National Research University Higher School of Economics told about their projects, exchanged ideas about possible areas of co-operation, identified common goals and interests. A roadmap for further joint work was drawn up. We hope for productive co-operation in the future!
