The All-Russian Scientific Conference ‘Cognitive Studies of Language and Discourse’, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Moscow State Linguistic University, was held at the University from 30 October to 1 November 2025 under the auspices of the Russian Association of Cognitive Linguists, MSLU, the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin.

The event continued the tradition of the Round Table on Cognitive Linguistics, dedicated to the memory of Professor Elena Samoilovna Kubryakova, and this year took place in an expanded format as an All-Russian scientific conference.

In 2025, 259 applications were submitted by 292 researchers from Russia, Belarus, China, and Canada. Following the selection process, 174 applications from representatives of 83 scientific and educational organisations were approved.

The conference topics cover current areas of modern cognitive linguistics: cognitive studies of language and discourse, experimental and interdisciplinary approaches, social cognition, cognitive pragmatics, and professional communication.

The conference was held with the active organisational support of the ScoDis Centre. Employees of the Centre also gave presentations and acted as moderators for individual sections.
