The official awards ceremony for the scientific contest “Golden Linguin 2023” took place on February 6 at the Moscow State Linguistic University.

The scientific contest “Golden Linguin” is held for the fourth time and gathered the most talented scientists, teachers, Ph.D. candidates and students of the MSLU. Traditionally, the awards were given to those who displayed the highest achievements in research activity, popularization of science and mentoring of the younger generation.

It was important for us to go beyond the usual process of awarding and scale up turning the event into a platform for inspiration and ideas exchange in science, to make the ceremony not only a fest but also an opportunity for holding different initiatives”, Alexandra Tambovtseva, junior researcher at SCoDis, deputy head of the Council of Young Scientists of the MSLU, the lead organizer of the awards.

The gala night ended with an official buffet and performance of different artists of the CMS creative workshop (https://vk.com/cms_mslu) with instrumental author song adaptations and classical jazz musical pieces.

Over the course of 4 years our Golden Linguin became fully fledged and went ahead with confidence! This is not only one of the key events of the year but also one of our favourite ones. Prestigious awards, fancy dresses, smiles and what is  equally important – our talented organizer team. In other words, a real celebration”, emphasized vice principal for science Olga Irishanova

Our colleague, senior researcher at SCoDis Olga Prokofyeva was awarded with a prize in the category “Young scientist of the year”. We heartily congratulate Olga and with her further success in the research activity!
