Anna Leontieva’s thesis defence took place on the 13th February 2023. The dissertation entitled “Strategies of prosecution and defence in judicial discourse from multimodal perspective” was supervised by Pr. Olga Iriskhanova. Our colleague applied multimodal approach to the analysis of strategies and techniques used by speakers in judicial argumentation which can help broaden the understanding

On February, 25 prizes of the “Golden Linguin”, annual scientific awards of the MSLU, were presented. The awards is organised by the Council of young scientists of the university in partnership with the Research and technology council of the MSLU. We are proud to celebrate our colleagues awarded with the “Scientist of the Year” awards

XI International Congress on Cognitive Linguistics took place on November, 7-8 at two venues: “Radisson Slavyyanskaya” hotel and Moscow State Linguistic University. The event was organised by the MSLU, the Russian cognitive linguists association, Institute of linguistics at the Russian Academy of Sciences and Derzhavin Tambov State University.
